Tiffanie Trujillo is an American soprano and recent graduate of California State University, Fresno with distinction. During her undergraduate years, she performed as Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier at the Walt Disney Concert Hall with Fresno Opera & Orchestra Academy's (FOOSA) West Coast Youth Music Festival debut in 2013. In 2014, Ms. Trujillo created the role of Ortensia in The Secret of Luca (2014) with the Fresno State Opera Theatre (FSOT) where she worked with both Evan Mack (composer) and Joshua Mcguire (librettist). In 2015, she performed the title role of Carmen with the FSOT where she was recognized for her "sophisticated interpretation of Carmen" by the Fresno Bee.
In 2016, Ms. Trujillo took her studies to Italy where she engaged in language study and private musical coachings with faculty of Conservatorio Rossini in Pesaro, Italy. Other musical studies were with the Campus Internazionale di Musica in Emilia-Romagna, Italy.
Upon her return to the United States, Ms. Trujillo has been recognized as winner of Fresno Musical Club's Young Singers Competition (2016), winner of her division for NATS Regional Auditions (2017), and one of a select group of singers to advance to the final rounds in New York Lyric Opera's National Competition (2017). In January 2019 Ms. Trujillo was understudy to the role of Countess Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro and in May she will perform as Marguerite in Faust. Most recently she has placed 1st in Opera Modesto's Kristina Townsend Memorial Competition.
Ms. Trujillo is currently continuing her studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York, NY as a recipient of a generous, merit-based scholarship.
